Tim-McDonald
President, RSM
Tim was brought up in a Christian household. He received Jesus as his Savior at the age of 7. Tim didn't really have a solid relationship with God until much later in life. Tim married his high school sweetheart, Lynn and has 2 amazing girls, Madison and Taylor. He really enjoys spending time with his family and friends. (aka Pastor Alan)
Tim followed in his Father’s footsteps and went into surveying as his profession. Although if you ask him, he is a passionate Son of God first and does surveying on the side to pay bills. In the early years of Tim's growth in God, you could find him reading many books, going to conferences and every meeting that he could find. After years of doing this, he realized this was not meeting his heart's desires. So, he built a prayer room in his basement where he has spent many hours with God, in a personal relationship, and grew faster in intimacy than doing anything else! Both Tim and Alan prayed a prayer, "Lord I want that for which you created me!” Both of them had a hunger for healing. So they would go to people's houses to pray for healing. After some time, they started to see miracles and were asked to speak at churches and colleges. Tim then went into a season of learning how to love and all the giftings stopped. He was going out, doing God’s work, with the wrong perspective and thus had to learn how to love. He is now coming out of that season with a different foundation of love and is seeing miracles signs and opportunities to teach the Word again. |
Alan Kirkpatrick
VP, RSM
We call Alan “Pastor” because of his heart for people, and a heart of love towards those who are hurting and sick, or walking in blindness of the Lords Heart towards His kids. His desire is for seeing Jesus preached to those who don’t know him. But this wasn’t always the case…
Pastor Alan was raised in the same Non-denominational church that Tim was. In fact they have known each other since they were both 5. However growing up in the church, and being baptized at 14 didn’t produce much fruit. You can go to church your whole life and never be changed – and this was more or less Pastor Alan. In his heart he thought that just because he was going to church (mostly!) everything was OK, but it wasn’t until he was already married to his lovely wife Anne, that he realized that the all the mentions of Peace and Joy in the Bible, didn’t match up to his life – he didn’t have any. In fact, in a moment of honesty – after a man came to do the door and read some scriptures to him, he realized that he didn’t really know if God was real or not. He was actually quite far from the Word! In frustration, he declared, “You are either real or you’re not. If you are not real, I am leaving the church – I am sick of being burdened by all this ‘stuff’. But if you are real – show me.” That sounds blasphemous for someone raised in the church – but God was not offended! Just about that time, the Toronto blessing was happening at Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship church. A group from the church was going to drive up to Toronto and just “see” what this was all about. Pastor Alan went along. On the morning before the first meeting, a group were saying at the breakfast table “…I don’t want to experience anything, I just want to see what is going on first….” And “…I am not sure this is for me…” Pastor Alan said “If it’s real, I want to get steamrolled! I want the full power to lay me out flat!” As part of his search, this didn’t seem radical at all – it was a time to get real moment. Later, when getting prayed for – a powerful wave of love and emotion swept over him, to the point where he could not stand. After what seemed like hours, when get got up – there were people receiving prayer and laying all over the floor – but there were these two young girls, barely able to stand, each holding up the other – praying for people. They were just blessing people where they lay – and his heart just burst. Something clicked in Pastor Alan’s heart, and he knew that he just wanted to bless people. So much so that he wept. This began a long season of weeping before the Lord, and the Lord began to restore places in his heart. He definitely found out God is real! But it didn’t stop there. Long seasons of walking out the word. As the passion grew in his heart, he looked around for a way to walk in this deeper. At that time, Bob Mumford came the church, and challenged anyone if they were serious, to pray Philippians 3:12 “…I seek to lay ahold of that, for which Christ laid hold of me.” But only if you were serious said Bob! Little did they know it at the time, but both Tim and Alan prayed that prayer. What then began as an effort to walk in greater revelation drew the two of them together in friendship and brotherhood. They would go to every conference they could, read all the books they could find, pray every prayer and endeavor to grow. There was no one on the East Coast that they could find that could mentor them in how to walk in Sonship. What then happened was growth – the hard way! Long seasons of prayer and study. Slowly, walking together – and then with some key messages on Righteousness from Pastor Dan Mohler. Pastor Alan began to walk out the areas of his life that still didn’t align to Gods Word, into Sonship. Through this season there were many, many trials that were actually just fire testing what was being built, and burning up the dross. Walking into intimacy as a Son with the Father – and never going back |
